The hardware is great - the features are great - but the accompanying software leaves a bad taste. What we need is a modern user-centric user interface for the software which concentrates on productivity, and helps the user get things done, rather than expecting the user to learn out-of-date button pushing techniques from TV Studios and having to keep everything on plates spinning in their head. It is centred around TV Studio style commands - but wjo is going to be using this in a TV Studio? The control-software that comes with it is very dated. This has obviously been diesgned by professionals in the TV Broadcast arena, and it feels like it was designed by a close-to-retiring video producer who wants to bring his old ways to modern technology. The built-in transitions are all a bit 1980's video mixer era, the control over fades and PiP could be much better. The built-in features are good, but not great. Great kit - let down by poor software This is an excellent piece of hardware - it is built to a high stadard, and performs extremely well.
